Uncontrollable Acceleration

I have a 2022 Ranger with about 600miles. I was driving through a Home Depot parking lot today very slowly and the truck tried to accellerate on its own?? I applied brakes really hard and the truck stopped. It all happened in a few seconds, but there were people walking in the lot in front of the truck. It was like the throttle had a mind of its own. I have been on alert since. My question is this an identified problem which has a fix? Trying to duplicate the situation so I can explain better to dealership?

My 85 year old father as a Ranger ‘22 with the same problem. It’s been back to the dealer multiple times with no change.

He is too afraid to drive it and won’t sell it to someone without disclosing the issue as he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt.
